It has taken the Church more than fifty years to recover from the dissenters of Vatican II and Humanae Vitae. Watch the real story of what happened to our Holy Mother Church.
Praise God thank You Jesus! Do we really want a priest who is so busy with his wife and children and in-laws that he hardly has time to pray for us?
The Holy Bible tells us over and over again that we cannot try to divide our love for God with any person, place or thing in the world and be an effective prayer warrior and witness for Him.
If you think that being Holy is only talking for an hour after throwing out a Bible verse then you are mistaken.
Our Priests are called to be Holy in much more special way than any of us lay people because they have the authority from God Himself to forgive sins and to give us the rest of the Sacraments and foremost the Eucharist.
Do we really want a divided Priest? For myself, I would rather have a Priest who is able to give and devote all of his time to me, other Church members and all the world to help us in our Journey to Heaven which is his ordination.
Do you really think that there would be less Priests who would commit sin, especially sin of the flesh? Then if you really think this you do not know enough about sin and about the nature of mankind. Again, the Bible tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. The same way you can never stop people from committing adultery who are not in the priesthood so you would have priests committing.
Do not be fooled by the thoughts of any man in regards to whether Jesus Himself was celibate or not, these are not the thoughts of God on the topic.
To know what is true always go to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Here is the teaching of the Church: " All the ordained ministers of the Latin Church, with the exception of permanent deacons, are normally chosen from among men of faith who live a celibate life and who intend to remain celibate “for the sake of the kingdom of heaven.” Called to consecrate themselves with undivided heart to the Lord and to “the affairs of the Lord”, they give themselves entirely to God and to men. Celibacy is a sign of this new life to the service of which the Church's minister is consecrated, accepted with a joyous heart celibacy radiantly proclaims the Reign of God”. Ccc # 1579
Notice the word “joyous”. The world wants you to believe that these men are forced to be celibate which is another lie by the father of lies. Do not listen to him but always listen to the Church!
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought they intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins my Mother, to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful;O Mother of thy Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
